Shihan Debabrata Haldar
The Debabrata Karate Academy recently held examinations for the Shito Ryu Karate Do Federation Black Belt and Dan Grade, as well as color belt examinations, at the South Barasat Electric office of Daksekeske India Headquarters. A total of 52 students participated, with only five passing the Black Belt examination. Notably, Debabrata Haldar, a key figure in the academy, supervised the event.
Among the successful candidates were Ayushman Chowdhury, who received the Best Black Belt Exam Off the Year Award in 2024, and Pratyasha Koyal, a young girl from Joynagar who passed the Black Belt examination at the age of 8. Other achievers included Nausin Molla, Arshiya Gazi, Tamanna Raychowdhury, Tamagn Sahha, Sakil Sardar, Spandan, Bitan Ghosal, Bhumi Sahha, and Rajveer Karmakar.
Rahida Molla received special recognition, earning the Champion of Champions award for her outstanding performance from 2019 to 2024. The event was attended by various dignitaries such as Tarun Haldar, Dhruvachandra Haldar, Rajat Mistri, Babai Karmakar, Asmit Karmakar, Irani Molla, Jhuma Raychowdhury, and others.
